The sailing trip was awesome. So much fun!! On the first day we saw two turtles having sex which the crew had never seen before either.

The snorkling was fantastic. I chased a smaller turtle, saw many pink Nemos, some huge Maori Wrasse, Angel fish and many many other types.

On the way back I got to help pull up the sails, steer the boat and other stuff to help get us back in. We saw whales too just after we over took a boat who foolishly challenged us to a race.

I'm currently still in Airlie Beach waiting to hear back about a job at http://www.daydreamisland.com/.

Tonight I'll be going out for a drink with my travel agent, her best friend who has just come over from UK and a few other people.

Since I last posted I have spent some time in Townsville(not very exciting and the backpackers in the hostel weren't very nice). A couple of days on Magentic Island which is very pretty but the water is a bit too murky for snorkling.

A week picking Capsicum(Peppers for those English people on my list) in Home Hill which made me ill so I quit.

I'm now in airlie beach which is baurtiful. Weather is perfect. 26c, a nice warm man made lagoon to swim in and a lot friendlier. I'm going out on a sailing trip on monday where i'll have chance to do some more snorkling.

I'm hoping when I get back on dry land I can get some more work for a while before heading on down the coast.

It's been a rollercoaster adventure but I'm starting to enjoy it again now.

I have a few things to catch up on here but whilst I'm here the important thing is....

I jumped out of a plane at 14,000 ft yesterday!!!!!!

I did the with the aid of a man strapped to my back and a camera man jumping out next to us. :D

I will be uploading the dvd when I figure out how to and the photos at some point in the next few days. :D

I'm pretty proud of myself.

It was pretty choppy this morning. The kayaking went ahead but i really struggled. I got half way around the cape and was nowhere near the other guys so I gave up and came back on my own.

I really need to get my fitness back up again.

After the others came back we had fresh coconut. Yum!!!

Night walk tonight. I wonder what I'll see.

I've come up to Cape Tribulation for a couple of days. Our hostel is right in the middle of the rainforest. Today we saw Crocs and Cassowarys. Tomorrow I'm going sea kayaking and on a night walk to see wildlife. Friday i'll go to the Bat House then back to Cairns via a river cruise.

Internet expensive so keeping it short.

I will post photos on facebook when i get back to Cairns. :D

I booked in for a 4 day open water course. Day one in the pool went really well. Day two I was a little panicky but the end of the day was good.

Day 3 was out to the reef. It was really choppy on the way out and I got sea sick. :( When we got to the reef I got the gear on and got in the water but due to feeling sick and being forced to face the waves I had a panic attack and had to come out of the water. I was crying because I was so disappointed with myself.

I'm not planning to try again just yet. I got really freaked out by it. :(

On the plus side I still got to go snorkling on the Great Barrier Reef which was pretty awesome. I saw Nemo!!! and duck dived down to close up a giant clam.

I'll probably just sack off my diving for now and go for one more day snorkling.

I'm reallly upset but at least I gave it a go.

I arrived safely in Cairns at 11pm. Got a good nights sleep in a comfy bed (no bunkbeds...Yay) and awoke this morning to friendly faces. Someone was offering a free lift up to some waterfalls for the day so I took advantage and made 3 new friends. We took some photos and went swimming at the 2nd waterfall, freezing cold water but the weather is much nicer up here.

Having a fairly relaxed day and I'll go exploring more tomorrow.

Tonight is free dinner at a nearby pub. I might look into doing a diving course later in the week. :)

Well it's been a very long time since I've written here. It's been a rollercoaster of a year and I have ended up in Sydney longer than I had hoped. I'm running a guest house in Sydney for another few days then on 11th August i fly up to Cairns.

My plan is to slowly work my way down the coast. I'm in no rush. I may work along the way. I just booked my hostel and the guy on the phone said he booked in for a week 3 months ago and is working there now. Heh. He seemed very impressed that I was organised with my credit card and flight number, I guess that comes from 21 years of mum and dad having a b+b. :)

I'm getting very excited about going back to the backpacker lifestyle and exploring the coast, barrier reef, islands, underwater and up in the sky.

Feel free to remind me to keep this updated if I start getting slack.

I am currently at Sydney airport using free internet before flying to New Zealand(flight slightly delayed).

I shall miss Sydney lots, more than I ever expected to but I shall be back soon. Just a three month holiday.....

I have not heard from Sams housemate in Auckland so tonight I may have to book into a hostel and go over to Sams tomorrow. He's back next week from the UK so thats cool.

It's not quite hit me that I'm leaving Australia yet. I guess because I'm coming back soon.

I've had some awesome times here and the last two weeks have been great fun.

Hope you are all well.
